CAT 1 to CAT 4, explained
A quick way to understand whether you are buying a finished home, a renovation, major A&A or a rebuild.
What the categories do
CAT 1 is broadly move-in ready; CAT 2 suggests renovation; CAT 3 points to substantial A&A; CAT 4 is principally land or rebuild value.
What they do not do
A CAT rating is not a structural survey, valuation or guarantee of approval. A lower category is not automatically better value.
